Abstract :

In this paper we introduced the concepts of trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Then, values and ambiguities of the degree of acceptance and the degree of rejection for trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are defined as well as the value and ambiguity indices. Using these indices based ranking method; the intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problem is converted to crisp one. Then the stepping stone method is adopted to solve the reduced intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problem to obtain the optimal solution. Finally, the degree of acceptance and rejection for stepping stone method will be explained in the numerical example.
