Abstract :

A mathematical model of anaerobic digestion of waste water is discussed in this paper. This model contains system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. Homotopy perturbation method is implemented to find the analytical solution of system of non-steady-state ordinary differential equations. Analytical expression of concentration of carbon in different forms (organic matter, volatile fatty acids, acetic acid, inorganic carbon, methane and carbon dioxide) are presented. The obtained results are valid for the whole solution domain. The influence of the kinetic parameters $k_0,...,k_6$ were discussed in Figures. The analytical results were compared with numerical results and are found to be in good agreement.
