Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All research articles published in MJM are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
The CC BY license permits commercial and non-commercial re-use of an open access article, as long as the author is properly attributed.
Copyright on any research article published by a MKD Publishing House is retained by the author(s). Authors grant MKD Publishing House a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.
The definition of OA introduced in the original BOAI:
By “open access” to [peer-reviewed research literature], we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution and the only role for copyright in this domain should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.
Journal’s open access policy is committed to the recommendations and standards of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
